Leon, the naturally fast food chain, has won the ‘Special Achievement Award’ at the Lunch Business Awards 2014. In 2004 Leon set out to make it possible for everyone to eat good food. The industry’s recognition of their 10th birthday comes at a time when this mission looks set to continue, with no less than four new Leons opening by the end of the year.
Leon’s food is inspired by the flavours, variety and healthiness of Mediterranean cooking. Celebrating the natural rhythms of nature, their menu changes across the year to incorporate seasonal ingredients.
Autumn menu
This week Leon launched their Autumn menu, which includes a Pork, Apple & Chilli Lunchbox, slow-cooked in cider with leeks, apples and baby onions – the future of fast food. Also on the menu are the new Leon lamb kofte kebab, with chilli, garlic and cumin, served with hummus and pickle-kraut relish on the Leon superfood salad base; Ruby Mackerel Salad (pictured above), lentil, cucumber and dill salad topped with smoked Cornish mackerel, blueberries, pomegranate seeds and freshly chopped herbs.
