British Street Food Awards: talent to watch

British Street Food AwardsThe British Street Food Awards – founded back in 2009 – showcase the very best street food talent from across the entire European continent. Since last year, the judges also invite the top traders from Stockholm, Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam and Berlin to come and compete.

This year, the Finals took place 26-28 September in Leeds, and it’s worth noting the Winners – not only could they appear in your locality, they could also move their talents into their own restaurant, or as a ‘pop up’ in an established restaurant.

Woodland mushroom, roasted pepper and spinach pakoras, with a raw slaw citrus salad (Fresh Rootz)

Ham Shank Redemption — our own smoked free range ham hock in a wrap with smashed peas and mint, homemade black pud, and mustard pickled fennel and cucumber (The Cauldron)
