BBQ Masters for MaryleboneThe Joint is a new restaurant and bar that has brought a fast food concept with a twist to Marylebone. Featuring a small menu that focuses on delicious, tender BBQ meats, teamed with homemade breadbuns and American sides, the food at The Joint is paired with South London craft beers and a daily changing menu of refreshing cocktails.

Founded by baker Daniel Fiteni and chef Warren Dean in August 2012 as a pop-‐up in Brixton Village Market, The Joint was among the first to spearhead the American barbeque scene in London, establishing themselves as pulled pork experts. Following the explosive success of the Brixton branch, the co-‐founders have now travelled north of the river to launch their second branch, a large and airy space over two floors just off Marylebone High Street.

The meat does the talking

Offering BBQ pulled pork and chicken, Ribs and Wings, the food at The Joint is beautifully cooked and melts in the mouth. Using quality ingredients sourced from local producers, The Joint’s simple menu lets the meat do the talking by slow cooking it in delicious marinades. Chicken Wings are served up in brown paper parcels and buns on paper plates. The freshly baked fig & vanilla sourdough buns at The Joint come from the Bad Boys Bakery at Brixton Prison where Fiteni trains up inmates as part of a rehabilitation program with the intention of employing them as new apprentices once released.

BBQ Masters for MaryleboneThe Joint Marylebone features a central bar upstairs and a smaller cocktail bar downstairs serving quality drinks that have been designed to complement the flavoursome BBQ food. Created daily by head bartender Kjersti Scottow, the cocktails are served by tap from large Kilner jars that line the bar. Brixton Brewery craft beers & ales and St. Reatham lagers also available along with soft drinks and a strong selection of South African and Australian wines.

The interior of The Joint, complete with festoon lighting, long refectory tables and wooden benches, has been designed to make guests feel they are at a very cool street party. Bare wood walls and metalwork add edge to the 65 cover restaurant, while a large painting of a bird adds a splash of vibrant colour. Downstairs, a 25 cover cocktail bar features vividly patterned monochrome walls and high tables and stools.
