The Hospitality Show’s Star Product Awards have reached their stunning climax with innovative mobile ordering and payment service, Orderella, crowned as the best new product in British hospitality.
The company emerged victorious, in front of a packed Business Briefing Stage audience, after being chosen from a group of the Top Ten – already judged to be the most outstanding new products to grace the hospitality world in 2015.
Orderella’s app turns a smartphone into a mobile waiter, providing the consumer with real time feedback about the status of an order. Hospitality operators can then manage incoming orders on a cloud-based solution eliminating the need for card or cash payments and allowing them to focus on delivering great customer service.
Setting the agenda for the next decade
Managing Director of show organiser, Fresh Montgomery, Toby Wand, said: “Congratulations to Orderella on delivering such a stunning innovation – one that, according to judges, will set the agenda for the next decade, and well done to our deserved final ten – I know the judges had quite a task in separating them, such was the high standard on show. If they haven’t already, I urge visitors to come and see, touch, try and taste the Star Products, including our esteemed winner, for themselves – this will be the one and only time in 2015 to see them under one roof.”
The judges also gave special mentions to Gram’s SUPERIORPLUS 72 – a refrigeration cabinet with a revolutionary sustainable design and the VENTA modular buffet system by Signature FSE.
Visitors can see the Top Ten Star Products, whittled down from scores of exhibitor entries from the worlds of Food & Drink, Catering Equipment, Technology and Design, in a dedicated area at The Hospitality Show (NEC Birmingham).
Online users can still have their say in a very special People’s Choice accolade – where they can vote via twitter by going to @hospshow, choosing their favourite and using the hashtag #starproduct. The People’s Choice winner will be unveiled after the show.
