Texture and 28°-50° Restaurant Group has announced that Xavier Rousset, Director/Co-Founder, has decided to leave the company with immediate effect. As a result the Board of Directors has appointed a new Director of Operations and a further announcement will be made in due course.
Agnar Sverrisson Director / Co-Founder, said: “Xavier has made a huge contribution to the success of the business. I would like to thank him for his tremendous contribution over the last nine years and wish him every success in the future.”
Rousset said: ‘’With 28°-50° and Texture growing so successfully over the last nine years I believe that now is the right time for me to step down and pursue a new challenge.’’
Xavier Rousset became the youngest Master Sommelier in the world when he passed the exam aged 23 shortly after winning the Ruinart Sommelier of the Year competition in 2002. Responsible for the eclectic and substantial wine list in the restaurant and bar, Rousset also runs the pair’s second venture 28°-50° Wine Workshop & Kitchen where the aim is to offer guests an excellent variety of unusual wines at unbeatable value.
