Pizza Hut Restaurants has unveiled a £350,000 restaurant makeover at its Bolton Hut at Middlebrook Retail Park, and plans to recruit new staff in the next few months.
The re-opening is part of a multi-million pound nationwide redesign programme by the casual dining company. A brand new, exciting menu will also be rolled out in the revamped Hut that includes the Ultimate Thin pizza – featuring Pizza Hut Restaurants’ thinnest ever crust – frickles (fried pickles), and American style waffles.
The restaurant has introduced a contemporary new cocktail bar and full drinks menu, offering guests a unique Hut experience. This great addition will transform the restaurant into a fun evening destination appealing to a wider customer base across Bolton.
As part of the revamp, staff have been educated on the history and “theatre” of cocktail making including which cocktails complement which new menu items. They have received specialist training on how to prepare some of the nation’s favourite hard shakes and cocktails including the Mojito and Margarita.
All of Pizza Hut Restaurants’ famous icons – including the Ice Cream Factory, Salad Station and Buffet – still take centre stage, but form part of the new, interactive design that includes a central preparation station offering a range of desserts including warm cookie dough, and a self-service soft drinks hub allowing guests to refill drinks at their leisure.
Restaurant Manager, Megan Roberts, said: “We can’t wait to show off our amazing Hut, the transformation is massive. We’ve worked really hard on this new look, there’s cool wall art and we’ve even got our very own cocktail bar.
As well as pizza, our new menu has loads of new additions, like Kentucky Style BBQ Ribs and warm cookie dough. We’re excited for our guests to come and enjoy the new atmosphere as much as we do.”
Scott Hibbert, Team Member at the Hut, added: “I’m really enjoying the new design, it looks great! I’m looking forward to the guests getting to sample our new menu – the Ultimate Thin pizza is definitely my favourite.”
The re-designed restaurant provides a more open and inviting dining space for customers, showcasing the fresh food and modern atmosphere in the Hut.
The investment in Bolton is part of a broader £60 million refurbishment and restructuring programme for the business, secured through private equity investment from Rutland Partners in late 2012.
