Two of the country’s most recognised brands, Harry Ramsden’s and Welcome Break have come together for the first time at Welcome Break Woodall near Sheffield, with the opening of a new catering unit offering world famous fish ‘n’ chips to M1 motorists.
Harry Ramsden’s at Welcome Break opens at 6am daily, offering the popular Welcome Break Full English breakfast and then, from 11.30am until 8pm, hungry commuters and leisure travellers can now choose from an extensive menu, which includes Harry Ramsden’s world famous fish and chips.

‘It is fitting that we are able to celebrate the 85th anniversary of the launch of the first ever Harry Ramsden’s, which took place on 20 December 1928, with another new opening! We are delighted to have opened our doors at Welcome Break Woodall, which offers great facilities and attracts millions of visitors each year. In the coming months, it is our firm intention to make Harry Ramsden’s even more accessible to the myriad of fans it has built up during that time as well as offering us the opportunity to introduce the brand to a new generation.’
