Celebrity chef, Marco Pierre White, announces he will open his second restaurant in Oxford with his Steakhouse Bar & Grill concept.
Located at the Jurys Inn on Godstow Road, the restaurant will be the 17th Steakhouse Bar & Grill to open in the UK, and follows the success of Marco’s New York Italian, which is located at the Mercure Oxford Eastgate Hotel.
The announcement follows a franchise agreement between Marco’s Black & White Hospitality company and the hotel’s owners.
The restaurant is set to become a destination restaurant for hotel guests and local food lovers alike, who can expect to enjoy a selection of timeless English and French classics, each delivered with Marco’s own unique flair.
Nick Taplin, CEO of Black and White Hospitality said: “I’ve always been keen to expand our restaurant offering in Oxford and the Jurys Inn is the perfect location to showcase the impressive Steakhouse Bar & Grill brand, with excellent food and drink at pricing to suit all budgets. We have a great relationship with both the owner and hotel brand which makes it a strong fit.”
Marco Pierre White commented: “The Steakhouse Bar & Grill will offer diners a different kind of experience to the New York Italian, serving some of my all-time favourite British dishes including Roast Rump of Lamb a la Dijonnaise and Pork Belly Marco Polo.”
Chris Broderick, general manager at Jurys Inn and Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill Oxford, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to be launching the latest Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill in Oxford, and the spacious newly refurbished hotel showcases the prestigious restaurant beautifully.
“Oxford diners can now experience the full beauty of Marco’s cooking through two of his most popular restaurant ventures, and we encourage guests to pop in and join us when we officially open our doors early next year.”
