Operations Director, Helen McGregor officially opens the 50th Stonehouse site, with the Crown, Kings Heath, Birmingham team
Having opened two pilot restaurants in the summer of 2015, Stonehouse Pizza & Carvery celebrated a significant milestone for the brand when opening their 50th restaurant, The Crown in Kings Heath, Birmingham, earlier this month.
The opening of the Stonehouse Pizza & Carvery, located on Alcester Road, signalled an exciting step for the new dining concept from Mitchells & Butlers.
The restaurants offer a strong value format, based around a broader range of menus items, enhanced drink range and full amenity redesign. As with Miller & Carter, these are largely existing site conversions, and are generating strong returns on investment. Mitchells & Butlers will aim to grow Stonehouse to around 80 sites by the summer of 2017.
Helen McGregor, Operations Director for Stonehouse Pizza & Carvery commented: “We are extremely proud of reaching this milestone for Stonehouse Pizza & Carvery, the success of our restaurants is a credit and testament to everyone working within the brand.
“The future for Stonehouse excites us all and we’re thrilled to be continuing to grow our offering to guests up and down the UK. The brand focuses on delivering excellent value to our guests, but with a greater emphasis on product quality that includes making our pizza dough fresh on site every morning. We hope to build upon the early success as we continue our opening programme and the positive guest reaction we’ve seen so far.”
The offering at Stonehouse Pizza and Carvery provides something for everyone, ranging from Full English Breakfast and traditional carvery from the carving deck, to 100% fresh dough stonebaked pizzas. As well as the help yourself salad bar there are also pub favourites including; burgers, fish and chips and an extensive children’s menu. The variety available lets diners put on their plate exactly what they want, creating their own meal, their choice, their way.
Going into 2017 Stonehouse Pizza & Carvery are set to continue their rollout of new openings. Stonehouse’s popularity amongst guests is evident in their sales, current sites will serve up around one million pizzas, one million breakfasts and over eight million Roasts in their first year.
