Allt nan Ros Hotel, near Fort William on the marketAllt nan Ros Hotel, an imposing country hotel situated on the shores of Loch Linnhe in the Scottish Highlands, has been put on the market.

With its own cascading stream, which passes through the 2.5 acres garden, the hotel offers 21 bedrooms, as well as restaurant, bar, lounge and staff accommodation. It is located next to the A82, an important commercial and tourist route linking the West Coast road from Kintyre, Oban, Fort William and Inverness, with the Highland road from the well-populated Central Lowlands. The hotel closed in September last year and is being sold on the instructions of the Mortgagee in Possession.

Alistair Letham, a director with selling agent Colliers International, commented: “Allt nan Ros Hotel is in a superb trading position in a popular locality of West Coast Highland Scotland. It is an impressive and substantial property, which offers an outstanding opportunity for the new owners to build a thriving leisure destination.”

The Allt nan Ros has its origins as a Victorian country house. Converted to hotel use in 1939 and subsequently extended, its Gaelic name emanates from the enchanting stream, known as the “Burn of the Rose”.

Selling agent Colliers International is inviting offers around £300,000 for the Allt nan Ros Hotel, Onich, Fort William, Inverness-shire, PH33 6RY.
