New Head Chef for Dormy HouseDormy House Hotel near Broadway has announced the arrival of a new Head Chef with an international pedigree.  37-year-old Jon Ingram joins the recently re-launched hotel following roles in London, Dubai and Cliveden in Berkshire.

“I am really excited to be joining the team at Dormy House,” says Jon.  “There is such a buzz about the place.  I am determined to make the hotel renowned for its food as well as its style, service and location. After nearly five years in London, it’s also great to get some fresh air in my lungs!”

Born in Kent, Jon began his culinary career at Champneys health resort in Tring, progressing to Cliveden, one of the UK’s finest country house hotels, and the famous Burj al Arab in Dubai, where ran the Al Muntaha restaurant, which is suspended 200 meters above the sea.

Missing home, Jon returned to the prestigious Grove Hotel in London where he met his wife, Paris, and five years later he was Executive Head Chef in the opening team of the Mint Hotel at the Tower of London.  His restaurants there included the famous Sky Lounge, one of the capital’s most impressive roof-top bars.

Jon comes to the Cotswolds from his post as Executive Head Chef at the Intercontinental Westminster, another hotel opening, this time in the political heart of the city.  His Blue Boar Smokehouse & Bar may give him some inspiration for the new Dormy, where he will be responsible for three restaurants, including The Greenhouse spa lounge.

“I want to take this wonderful opportunity and give it my own stamp,” he says. “Both The Garden Room and The Potting Shed are fast gaining a great reputation and I intend to take them to the next level.”
