Gaucho introduces its exclusive Rubia PilsenerGaucho Restaurant group, known for Argentine flair, fantastic beef and an extensive Argentinian wine list, has just introduced its very own beer as a refreshing addition to its bar and restaurant drinks lists. The Rubia Pilsener, brewed exclusively for Gaucho, has been created in a joint venture between Gaucho Group Bar Manager Ian O’Reilly and the Eichbaum Brewery, founded in South-West Germany over 300 years ago.

Crisp, with body and bite

Brewed and bottled exclusively for Gaucho, Rubia Pilsener is light and refreshing.  Ian worked in Germany with the brewery to create a crisp beer with body and bite:  “We wanted a beer that is easy to drink and enjoy during those sunnier afternoons and evenings. The food we serve at Gaucho is of the highest quality and our aim was to create a beer of equal quality that would really complement our menu as well as being perfect for our guests to enjoy on its own.‘

Brewed at the 300-year-old Eichbaum Brewery, Gaucho’s Rubia Pilsener is made with prime German ingredients such as hops from Alsace and malt from Bavaria.  Even the soft brewing water is taken from local springs.

The name Rubia is what ties together the German beer with an Argentine influence.  In Germany, Rubia means blonde beer, as the beer is golden in colour.  In Spanish, Rubia is actually an affectionate term for a beautiful blonde woman. Gaucho hope their Rubia is as appealing as the Rubias of Argentina!
