Stephen Brogan, entrepreneur and co-founder of premium drinks company Drinks21 Ltd, has taken a controlling share of Ooberstock, the UK based on-premise drinks wholesale business, with immediate effect.
As a result, Ooberstock will become the newest national distributor in the market, bringing some innovative ideas to the market whilst providing a world-class supply solution via KNDL, supported by Drinks21 and BCW Group.
Arran Heal, who founded Ooberstock in 2012, will remain in the company as Managing Director.
National on-trade capabilities
Stephen Brogan explains, “Ooberstock’s strapline is ‘intelligent wholesaling’ and this is what we intend to do. The investment gives us instant national on-trade capabilities without having to invest heavily in a transport infrastructure and storage facilities – thus keeping pricing and promotions highly competitive and offering the on-trade access to an extensive product portfolio.
