Omar Allibhoy’s tapas bar – Tapas Revolution Shoreditch – is celebrating its first birthday on Friday 15th and Saturday 16th April in true Madrid style with a weekend of Spanish fiestas.
The Fiesta will kick start the weekend with an extended version of happy hour – ‘Sangria Time’ – on Friday 15th April, offering half-price jugs of Sangria and two-for-one Gin Tonics and Spanish inspired cocktails from 4pm until 10pm, with Latin and House tunes on the decks from 8pm.
On Saturday 16th April ‘Sangria Time’ will start an hour earlier than usual at 4pm, running until 7pm and followed by live Rumba at 7.30pm from Dandaluz, a Sevillan four-piece band. Tickets for an exclusive Spanish food & wine Masterclass led by Omar himself on Thursday 14th April sold out within 30 minutes of tickets going on sale.
Tapas Revolution is Omar’s personal interpretation of the fun and bustling tapas bars in his hometown of Madrid. Omar and his team use only the finest Iberian ingredients sourced from small Artisan producers across Spain and freshly prepare all the dishes in-house. Tapas Revolution Shoreditch is Omar’s first stand-alone tapas bar, with other locations at Westfield London (Shepherd’s Bush), Bluewater (Kent), Grand Central (Birmingham) and Meadowhall (Sheffield).
