Searcys’ One New Change will open its new urban and contemporary doors next month to celebrate Italian cuisine in the heart and soul of London’s city district. Based on traditional Italian recipes, Searcys One New Change is the celebration of meatballs and pasta alike, with an added flute of champagne. The combination of the two blends together a unique, simple and fuss free dining concept, perfect for quick lunches, meetings, evening drinks and dinners. One New Change will be a destination venue known for its no fuss fizz, cocktails and meatballs.
On the first floor of One New Change, the restaurant and bar has a modern and relaxed interior. With hues of aqua, copper and monochrome, both areas showcase a welcoming, yet exclusive atmosphere with high bar stools as well as leather booths, and individual tables for dining. Searcys wine and champagne will be on show up high amongst industrial style lighting, and slate grey walls.
Dining
As though you were in Italy, the menu at One New Change will be fresh, vibrant and full of colour and flavour. A pick and mix system will operate whereby a choice of either meatballs and pasta, or meatballs and ciabatta can be made. Beef or pork meatballs will be available, with sauce, pasta and topping options which include: sauces – pesto or tomato and pancetta; pasta – paccheri or trofie; and toppings – Gorgonzola, anchovies or smoked almonds.
There are also delicious lighter bites and aperitivo’s which include: meatball sliders (3) on a brioche bun, crab and fennel salad with Sicilian orange and castel franco lettuce, and smoked salmon ciabatta with mozzarella and artichoke.
Additionally, the food offering will be available via a street food stall, as part of the daily market on the ground floor of the shopping arena for local shoppers and workers.
Drinking
The drinks menu will be headed up by Joel Claustre wine and champagne connoisseur who previously won the prestigious Master of Culinary Arts (MCA)and Aurelien Durand, a cocktail expert with years of running the finest bars are two of Searcys leading lights of drinks expertise. From flutes of champagne by the best industry names, to Italian Vermouth and Frizzante cocktails, the menu will offer a sparkling treat for every drinker. Such drinks combined with Italian style food makes for the perfect summer destination amid the hustle and bustle of the capital.
National Champagne Week
The bubble filled week in October is designed to celebrate the diversity of champagne through approachable, accessible and informative experiences. All Searcys venues across London and the UK take part in holding tutored tastings, master classes, parties and pop-ups, in partnership with the best champagne houses. Some of which include: Veuve Clicquot, Piper-Heidsieck, Taittinger and Laurent-Perrier.
