From the 26th May, Television Centre, White City, will be host to one of the Capitals most exciting roof terraces, Pergola on the Roof. The iconic West London site will be welcoming award-winning charcuterie and bar Salt Yard; modern European, seasonal rotisserie LeCoq; and Chelsea’s ‘wild and foraged food’ restaurant Rabbit. Patty & Bun, London’s legendary gourmet burger bar will also be making a 4-week appearance on the roof as part of this 14-week residency.
Pergola on the Roof will launch as one of the biggest temporary pergolas in Europe. Partnering with some of London’s most exciting and best-loved restaurants, the creation of their bespoke menus for this incredible rooftop eatery will mark the unprecedented experience of dining 170ft over the West London skyline, beneath the exquisite hanging foliage of a pergola.
With a 400-capacity seating area – the heart of the pergola transformed into a communal bar area serving fresh, summer-inspired drinks – Pergola on the Roof is the perfect venue to book tables for large groups and parties, or guests can simply arrive for a weekend lunch with the family, choose from a delicious selection of never seen before menus and take food and drink to any table of their choice. Visitors can also relax in the knowledge that bookings cost nothing, the bar runs all day and well into the evenings, and guests can stay as long as they like! Friends of Pergola on the Roof can also receive a free drink upon arrival, simply by visiting pergolaontheroof.co.uk, and signing up to the visitors book online.
After winning the highly sought after sponsorship bid from Stanhope, Incipio Events, the dynamic team behind street-food markets Feast, Little Feast and Market Yard will be launching Pergola on the Roof in London. Already the name behind leading street food and restaurant experiences across London, Incipio will transform this West-London rooftop for guests to take part in one of the ultimate rooftop dining experiences of Summer 2016.
Alistair Shaw, Managing Director of Television Centre, said:
“We are delighted that Pergola on the Roof at Television Centre is coming to White City, in partnership with some of London’s most exciting restaurants, such as award-winning Salt Yard charcuterie bar and restaurant and gourmet burgers from the fantastic Patty & Bun. At Television Centre, we will be offering high quality independent restaurants as we open up the iconic former home of the BBC the public. With its beautiful hanging garden, seating areas and central bar all under the open sky, Pergola on the Roof has been designed as a vision of the Mediterranean: with full, blossoming flowers, whitewashed woods and evergreen flora, the venue will be London’s very own Southern European escapism, for guests to eat, drink and enjoy the sunshine with their family and friends.
Open from Wednesday to Sunday, Pergola on the Roof will be a wonderful summer spot to chill out and eat spectacular food al fresco.
