
Adrian Humphries, Restaurant Manager, Tempus
Adrian Humphries has joined the iconic four-star Grand Central hotel as the new Restaurant Manager, bringing a wealth of experience to the hotels Tempus restaurant.
Lincolnshire born Adrian has lived and breathed the food and beverage industry since 1999 where he began his career in Guernsey.
Growing up in a rural setting in Lincolnshire, farming and game became a big part of Adrian’s life. Surrounded by fresh ingredients, he began to enjoy the locality of the different home-grown, seasonal produce.
Adrian brings nearly 18 years of experience with him, which will aid him in further growing and evolving the restaurant, working previously as Restaurant Manager of the award-winning five-star Pompadour by Galvin restaurant in Edinburgh, and before that Restaurant Manager of the five-star leading hotel of the world restaurant at Gleneagles –The Strathearn.
Adrian said; “With almost 20 years of experience under my belt I am delighted to join the Grand Central team and help add to the success of Tempus as we take it forward as an iconic destination in Glasgow. Tempus is focussed on provenance, seasonality and Scottish heritage this is something I am keen to build upon.
“We have to recognise Tempus for its rich history and as a celebratory dining venue where guests come to have a great time and an even better dining experience. It has established a strong reputation in Glasgow as a great place with great food, so when the opportunity arose to join the team within this iconic award winning hotel that is full of charm, full of history and heritage, I grabbed the opportunity with both hands.”
