The response from visitors reading last week’s website feature in H&C News by chef Damian Wawrzyniak – detailing his Top 10 London restaurants – as well as the engagement of followers on our Twitter and Facebook pages took us by surprise. Almost as much as it did chef Damian!
He told us: “I am overwhelmed with the response to penning my Top 10 London Restaurants in H&C News. My already overloaded inbox was flooded with Twitter and Facebook engagement notifications, they just keep coming.
“On my Twitter page alone I have over 20,000 active followers, so I am used to receiving high volumes of engagement notifications, or at least I thought I was before last week’s #HandCSocial effect kicked in.
‘We’ve only just begun’: all 10 to be re-visited
“The reaction has been simply AMAZING! So much so in fact that I have now decided to continue working with H&C News on this project – to quote The Carpenters, ‘we’ve only just begun’.
“Starting next week, I will re-visit my Top 10 London Restaurants, one every week, and then publish a review of each exclusively with H&C News. It will be interesting to see how much the list will re- order and at the end of the project I will return to my Number 1 restaurant with H&C News to congratulate the winning restaurant team.”
