PizzaExpresss menu celebrates the Summer of ’65Celebrating customer favourites from the last 50 years, PizzaExpress has given the American Hot, Margherita and La Reine a mouth-watering makeover to create the Romana65 range, with even more choice for low-cal lovers as the 525 calorie skinny pasta joins the menu, as well as a 210 calorie lemon dessert.

Launching on 24 March, the new spring/summer menu at PizzaExpress embraces the vibrant flavours of the sunny months to come and introduces new and exciting dishes. There’s plenty of new options including the first ever Leggera low calorie pasta dish, the new range of Romana65 premium buffalo mozzarella pizzas, risottos, salads and much more.

Starters

A new,fresh Italian-inspired sharing starter, theFresella “PizzaExpress” V(£10.95). A ball of premium buffalo mozzarella is placed in the centre of a ring of PizzaExpress’ famous pizza dough, which is then topped with fresh tomatoes, basil and extra virgin olive oil. Light and clean, a great start to any meal.

The new Romana65 range has PizzaExpress taking favourites from its menu and giving them a makeover using buffalo mozzarella, to create a real treat for any foodie.

The Margherita Bufala V (£12.20), is a simple yet flavoursome pizza topped with buffalo mozzarella, fresh basil and tomatoes.

Or the new La Regina (£13.90) sees a smoky ham hock married with buffalo mozzarella and chestnut mushrooms on a béchamel base with garlic and fresh parsley. All finished off with a drizzle of black truffle oil.

Finally, the new American Hottest (£13.95) is PizzaExpress’ hottest pepperoni pizza to date, with both pepperoni and ‘nduja sausage, as well as plenty of chillies.  It’s finished with the finest buffalo mozzarella. One for those who like it hot, hot, hot.

Al Forno

A new and exciting addition to the low calorie Leggera range is the Leggera Pollo Arrabbiata (£10.95). The first ever low calorie pasta in the range, this is a spicy chicken dish and comes in at only525 calories.

The new Risotto Prosciutto Piselli GF (£11.80) combines premium ham hock with a pea and mint pesto, which creates a fresh, green, spring risotto.

Salads

The Pollo Salad (£10.95) is back on the PizzaExpress menu by popular demand. It combines chicken, goat’s cheese and salad, topped with PizzaExpress’ famous House Dressing – an old classic which will undoubtedly win new fans this year.

Looking for a salad that captures summer in a bowl? Then try the new Primavera Salad N (£11.50). Smoky ham hock, garden petit pois and basil pesto with egg. This creates a light and herby dish, sure to set the scene for any summer adventures.

PizzaExpress brings in a range of new seasonal desserts designed to suit everyone. From low calorie desserts in its Leggera range, to small Dolcetti desserts and decadent treats.

Something for people with a sweet tooth but are watching their weight is the new lemon dessert that not only delivers in flavour, but has only 210 calories.  The new Leggera Tartufo Limoncello V GF (£5.95) is made with a mix of Southern Italian flavours. A Sicilian lemon gelato mixed with a creamy Fiordilatte gelato with a secret liquid heart of Limoncello sauce cutting through the middle.

A truly British summer celebration, the new Eton Mess Cheesecake V (£5.95) is a twist on an old classic. Cheesecake with juicy strawberries running through and topped with broken meringue and cream, creating a new summer classic.

PizzaExpress’ Dolcetti are popular little tasters of decadent desserts served with any coffee. This spring, there are some new additions to these decadent desserts, including a Lemon Possett Crunch V (£5.20), a thick and creamy dessert sat atop a crunchy ginger biscuit base. Another new fruity dessert addition is the Strawberry Fool Cheesecake V (£5.20). A classic British dessert, this one has been updated, by sitting the light, airy fool atop a biscuit base to add extra crunch.

Another new addition to the dessert menu is a creamy Italian classic. The Primo Gelato V available in Coconut Passion and Raspberry Ripple flavours (£4.95 each) is a delicious end to a meal. Bright, fruity flavours play off the creaminess of the gelato, to create fun, vibrant flavours.
