Mansley welcomes The Knight Residence

The Knight Residence, Edinburgh’s leading apart-hotel, has been acquired by Mansley Group Holdings and joins a small chain of boutique luxury serviced apartments which includes properties in one of London’s most prestigious areas.

The multi award-winning complex of 28 luxury services apartments near Edinburgh Castle has been sold by husband and wife Colin and Jean Knight who launched them more than 15 years ago. It will be re-branded as The Knight Residence by Mansley.

Sir Richard Rowley, Chairman and CEO of Mansley Group Holdings, commented:  “This is an exciting expansion for the group. The Knight Residence has been extremely successful. Like our serviced apartments in London, it is very centrally located and provides intimate accommodation backed by first class customer service.”

Colin Stone, General Manager of The Knight Residence which has been included in online travel agency Expedia’s Insider Select List of the world’s best 650 hotels for the past seven years, added: “All properties in the group are serviced apartments of character and all will retain their individuality and style. The move will also meet requests from guests in London and Edinburgh for similar high quality serviced accommodation in the other capital.”

The team at The Knight Residence, one of only 15 UK establishments included in Expedia’s list in 2014, remains in place and there will be no significant change to its operations.

Mansley Group Holdings has owned 44 Curzon Street – three properties in London’s Mayfair near Shepherd Market – for 50 years. It also owns No. 1 The Mansions in Kensington, and last year bought 103 By the Bridge in Inverness.
