Even for them, Balans Soho Society is in usually high spirits to announce the return of their acclaimed boozy pancakes for Shrove Tuesday, Feb 28th 2017.
Traditionally, Shrove Tuesday was a time of confession when people were ‘shriven’ or absolved of their sins.
As Balans Soho Society are much more likely to actively encourage sins than to forgive them this year they are again celebrating Pancake Day in their own inimitable style with a brand new collection of their wickedly boozy pancakes available at all 7 of their London sites.
Their Black Cherry Pancakes with Fresh Cream and a Kirsch and Black Cherry Sauce is matched only by the Crêpe Suzette with an Orange and Grand Marnier sauce for it’s sheer decadence.
And inspired by one of Balan’s signature cocktails, ‘Slap On The Rum’ features gloriously uffy pancakes with roasted pineapple, ginger and a shameless rum syrup.
Why would anyone want to eat pancakes anywhere else?
2017 marks the 30th Anniversary of Balans Soho Society, having been a Soho stalwart since 1987.
